CASINO INSPECTOR


To supervise the activities of the Casino gaming tables such as but not limited to, Blackjack, Roulette,Ultimate Texas Holdem,Three Card Poker and related services.


STATUTE REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate
  • Basic Safety Training (BST) and all other certification and documentation in force at the time of
  • engagement compliant with the flag state requirements of the vessel.
  • Passports, visas, permits as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin
  • and entry into the destination cruising area.
  • Validated current documentation certifying the health and fitness of the applicant meets fundamental
  • requirements of seagoing personnel on basis of assigned office and verifying all sanitary precautions
  • have been taken against diseases that may be endemic to the cruising area.
  •  Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.
  •  Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This
  • includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively
  • present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
  •  Ability to speak additional languages such as Italian, Spanish, French or German preferred.
  •  Read understand and implement Mission Statement of the Company and the Crew Regulations,
  • ensuring all Casino personnel comply accordingly.
  •  Wear the prescribed uniform and Name Badge at all times on board
  •  Attend all emergency drills, carry the personal emergency card, and understand emergency
  • duties.
  •  Experience internally as a Casino Inspector Trainee with consistently high performance ratings
  • or experience as a Casino Inspector/Supervisor in a land based casino or cruise line.
  •  Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment regarding gaming rules and regulations.
  •  Ability to observe and recognize payout accuracy, dealer behavior and associated activities.
  •  Ability to utilize customer service skills by exercising authority and discretion to satisfy guests in
  • a manner consistent with MSC standards.
  •  Ability to supervise an international team of Dealers in a positive and productive manner by
  • motivating, developing and managing employees as they work.
  •  Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling
  • to improve performance.
  •  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • All duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with MSC standards, environmental, and
  • safety policies.
  •  In accordance with MSC philosophy each employee conducts oneself in a professional and
  • courteous manner at all times. This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or
  • fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas.
  •  Monitors casino floor operation. By observing casino staff, in the operation of casino games to
  • ensure guests receive prompt, courteous service and correct procedures are maintained.
  • Identifies rule violations, or notes potential security problems. Observes pace and accuracy of
  • dealing procedures to ensure all casino games proceed smoothly and properly according to
  • Casino Operations policies. Accurately records individual player action using the Casino
  • Management system. Maintains a proactive approach to prevent or solve problems and Informs
  • casino management when required.
  •  Greets guests, extends courtesy and provides helpful information. Explains and clarifies house
  • rules to guests requesting information.
  •  Observes and calculates transactions to verify dealer payouts. Resolves disputes regarding
  • wagers, payouts, gaming procedures and casino policies.
  •  Opens or closes tables according to business demand.
  •  Trains and monitors Casino employees according to MSC standards. Provides on-the-job
  • training to strengthen current performance and preparation for possible advancement.
  •  Distributes necessary gaming equipment at the beginning of each shift; verifies drop boxes are
  • locked onto tables.
  •  Prepares accurate reports in a timely manner according to Casino Operations policies.
  •  Participates in casino table counts, reports or paperwork as scheduled by Casino Management.
  •  Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required.
  •  Performs related duties as required. This position description in no way states or implies that
